Since everyone has the same points of interest (horseback riding, nature, travel, culture) there is always a good atmosphere and understanding among the participants. Participants come from all corners of the world, so you can be part of a group with riders from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, France, Sweden, Canada, USA, Australia, Colombia, and many others countries. Your friends are suddenly so much more international! :) A standard group consists of 6 riders. (guides excluded) In general, there are as many females as male participants.

The Food – The Meals:

Bulgarians love to welcome visitors, feed them and talk to them about their lives and culture. A big part of this bonding happens over meals. Bulgarian food, traditional drinks and Bulgarian cheese all complement the splendid hospitality and surroundings. Here’s what you can expect from a traditional Bulgarian meal: Bulgarian cuisine includes a significant contribution from Ottoman cuisine and therefore shares a number of dishes with Middle Eastern cuisine, including moussaka, gyuvetch, kyufte, baklava, ayran, and shish kebab. Bulgarian food often incorporates salads as appetizers and is also noted for the prominence of dairy products, wines, and other alcoholic drinks such as rakia. The cuisine also features a variety of soups, such as the cold soup tarator, and pastries, such as the filo dough-based banitsa, pita, and the various types of börek.

Luggage:

The maximum allowable weight of your luggage depends from airline to airline. Check with the airline or travel agent how many kilograms and pieces of luggage you can take. Your personal luggage is transported during the trip to the various stopovers.

Safety:

Bulgaria is considered a safe country to travel to. The country is no safer or less safe than any other European country.

Language:

Local language is bulgarian. But many bulgarians speak english.

No worries, our trip leaders speak several languages and will help and translate with pleasure where needed. Trips are always fun as we all speak the same equestrian language.

Health

Bulgaria has good healthcare and doctors. In case of emergency, we will take you to the best place for care.No specific vaccination requirements for travel to Bulgaria. But checking before travel is always recommended as standards can change.
